Shelby Young is a Los Angeles-based actor with an extensive background in voice over, voice-matching, motion capture, looping/ADR and on-camera. A self-proclaimed nerd with an affinity for cats, theme parks and sushi, Shelby has amassed a large social media following by way of Tiktok, Youtube, Instagram and more (with over 8 million followers/subscribers between the platforms) where she shares fun voice over videos, impressive impressions and comedy sketches.
In the world of VO, Shelby might be best known for her work in the Star Wars galaxy, voicing multiple characters across their animation titles and video games, including voicing Princess Leia Organa in projects such as "LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga" and multiple Disney+ series and specials including "LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy", "LEGO Star Wars: Summer Vacation" and "LEGO Star Wars: Terrifying Tales"! Shelby's also known by video game fans for her work as fan-favorite Yuko Nishiwaki in Persona 3 Reload, Skuld in God of War: Ragnarök and Soph Blazkowicz, whom she brought to life through both voice and movement via MoCap, in "Wolfenstein: Youngblood" as one of the first-ever playable female characters in the long-standing franchise. Shelby's resume includes other AAA franchises such as "Elder Scrolls Online", "Battlefield", "Final Fantasy" and "Dead Rising 3", where she voiced and provided MoCap for the lead role of Annie. You can currently hear Shelby recur as Irma and the villainous La Fleur on Nickeldoeon and Paramount+'s "Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles", as Barbara Gordon (aka Batgirl & Oracle) in "DC High Volume: Batman" weekly releases and as Jenny in the highly anticipated upcoming game title from Grasshopper Manufacture, "Romeo is a Dead Man". Shelby can also be heard in recent hit shows like "LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild The Galaxy - Pieces of the Past", the Amazon Prime anime "Tatsuki Fujimoto 17-26 'Woke-Up-as-a-Girl Syndrome'" and animated features "Elio" and "The Bad Guys 2" which are both nominated for multiple awards this season.
When she's not working in animation and games, Shelby spends her time "stepping into the mouths" of celebrities, by voice-matching for an ever growing list of Hollywood's leading ladies (and young men) in multiple high-profile film and television projects.
Shelby also has an on-camera background and is known for playing characters such as Leah from the Emmy-winning "American Horror Story", KC in the Best Picture Oscar®-nominated "The Social Network", Ruby in Universal's cult-classic teen film "Wild Child" and a 62-episode arc as Kinsey on "Days of Our Lives".
